DISCOIN Internship Program - Sales and Marketing

DISCOIN is a business concern which seeks to create an online community of foodies that can avail discounts at various outlets and create social content about the same. Discoin is a digital currency for discounts. Online portal, www.DiscountKar.De can redeem Discoins for offers listed with DiscountKar.De. The users of the portal can at the same time earn Discoins through social content generation. 

Discoin Interns will be contributing towards the overall marketing and promotional activities for the brand. Besides, they will be promoting the brand and the usage of the DiscountKar.De portal among their peers and circles. They will also be expected to sign up users from their networks using Discoin Scratch Cards to allow attribution of their work to them.

STIPEND
Discoin promises its interns a commission based stipend, payable on a monthly basis. The interns will be earning commission against users acquired through the Scratch Cards. Each scratch card entitles the buyer to DiscountKar.De membership, worth Rs.100.The count of Scratch Cards sold, the counter of which shall be maintained on a monthly basis, will determine the intern’s stipend.
For the first 100 users acquired through Scratch Cards sold, the intern shall receive 30% of the sales amount generated.
On the next 100 Scratch Cards sold in the same month, the intern shall 40% of the sales amount generated per card.
Subsequently, he shall receive a 50% cut on all Scratch Cards sold beyond the first 200 in that month. The counter shall be refreshed every month.

On successful completion of the one month internship period, the intern shall be issued a certificate with the option to extend the internship for a further period. Discoin is also open to eventually absorbing the intern on a full-time job payroll post-graduation, should the intern excel in his activities.

IdeaIndeed Competitions and Internships

IdeaIndeed is a  platform aiming for creating opportunities for students to participate in live projects offered by various brands

IdeaIndeed's Virtual Brand Manager program is designed to provide an all-round development in terms marketing, human resource management, leadership skills and decision making. This is a 6 months program aiming at providing a true outlook of market dynamics and aid in decision making process

Procedure:

1.. Timeline of 1 week will be given for all students to put there ideas        by registering themselves on site
2. One student will be selected as a Virtual Brand Manager who will be a representative of IDEAINDEED in the college.
3. He / She will be working on a 6 months project for IDEAINDEED and will receive an experience certificate plus an opportunity to learn key traits of entrepreneurship while working on challenging assignments.
4. An appreciation letter will be given post successful completion of training
5. A virtual brand manager will have an opportunity to earn from 10,000 to 1 Lakh on the basis of their performance

Competition 1 : Timeless Life skills
It is a London based enterprise aiming at revolutionizing the contemporary method of learning.

The participants need to suggest ideas for highly engaging learning activities for the eWorkbook that will help a 15-20 year old student understand and cultivate dispositions of a self-directed learner.

By participating in the competition, students will have a chance to win a certificate and Kindle Fire.

Competition 2: Creating a Social Media Strategy for VENU.

Venu is an  Eye Institute & Research Centre which has been fighting ‘Avoidable Blindness’ for over 30 years. & ensuring that quality eye care services reach the poor and needy.

The participants need to design Social Media Promotion Strategy aiming at increased awareness.  Give ideas of a zero budget campaign to create powerful ‘word of mouth’ marketing and describe in detail what impact you think your idea of social media campaign will have once activated.

By participating in the competition, students will have a chance to win JBL Wireless Speakers.
